[通讯员：穆文 报道]近日，国际知名期刊Journal of the Asia Pacific Economy（JAPE）接受并在线刊发了我院工商管理系石军伟教授作为第一作者的论文“Wage Increase and Innovation in Manufacturing Industries: Evidence from China”。JAPE在发展中经济体研究领域有着较高的知名度和影响力，诺贝尔经济学奖得主Amartya Sen教授（哈佛大学）和联合国发展项目专家Paul Streeten教授都高度评价了JAPE对发展中经济体和世界经济研究的贡献。
这也是我院工商管理系教师近五年来在国际知名期刊发表的第51篇论文。
进入新世纪以来，中国各行业的工资普遍上涨、工用短缺现象频发、用工相关的法治环境不断变革完善，代表了发展中经济体的一种典型经济社会问题。但是，工资上涨相关因素到底是否影响了工业企业的创新绩效，现有文献却没有提供足够可靠的经验证据。本文研究了工资上涨与工业创新之间的关系这一经典问题，分析了工资上涨诱致创新的潜在机制，并应用中国2002-2019年37个二位数工业面板数据进行了实证检验。结果显示中国的行业工资上涨确实在总体上促进了工业创新，但这种作用存在行业异质性和历史阶段异质性。具体来说，工资上涨促进了劳动密集型、技术密集型和资源密集型工业的创新绩效，但对资本密集型工业的创新没有影响，这与行业是否采用劳动节约型技术（labor-saving Technology）有关；工资上涨在2008年前对工业创新没有作用，但在2008年后却显著推进了工业创新绩效，这证明了中国2008年劳动合同法的创新效应（Labor Contract Law Effect）。进一步地，劳动生产率改善在工资上涨与工业创新之间发挥着重要的中介作用，但劳动替代的中介效应却没有获得支持。本文的发现为更好地理解发展中国家的工资上涨如何影响工业创新提供了新的研究视角和解释范式。
