On May 20th, the First General Meeting of the Second Session of Hubei Cultural Industry Association and Working Transition Conference was held. Professor Shu Boyang, a doctoral supervisor of the department of tourism management of school of business administration, was successfully elected as the second vice president of the Association.
The conference discussed and voted on the work report of the first council, the financial report of the council and the work report of the Party construction. The work report summarized the work of the first council over the past seven years, put forward rectification measures for the existing problems, and clarified the ideas for the second term of office change within Hubei Cultural Industry Society. At the same time, it put forward specific opinions and plans for the construction of the new term.
Since its establishment, the association has made remarkable achievements in serving members, outreach and communication, and the development of services and cultural industry by adhering to innovative development, serving the overall interests, uniting all efforts and take pragmatic endeavor. The association will further apply itself to the international and domestic cultural industry development trend and the reality of cultural industry in Hubei province to promote its development from the perspectives of the academic research and strategic planning, well play the dual role as ‘the think tank’ for the government and ‘the speaker’ for the industry, give full play to the advantages of gathering outstanding scholars of cultural industry in Hubei province, strengthen subject construction of cultural industry, and provide the theoretical support for national cultural strategy, cultural structural reform, cultural industry development and cultural collaborative innovation research. Professor Shu Boyang has been engaged in cultural industry research for a long time, and has published several related papers and works, making great contributions to the development of cultural industry and the construction of cultural industry discipline in Hubei Province.
