On the morning of 13th December 2025, the inaugural ceremony of the Wuhan Branch of the Alumni Association of the School of Business Administration of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law was grandly held at Zhexiao Lecture Hall of Wenhui Building on Shouyi Campus. With the theme of "ZUEL SBA: Pooling Wisdom in Wuhan", the event aimed to build a targeted and regular communication and cooperation platform for alumni, supporting their career development and innovation and entrepreneurship while inheriting the university motto of "Broadening Knowledge, Understanding Principles, Upholding Virtue and Serving the World".
Zhu Fangwei, President and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of ZUEL, Zhu Shiquan, 1988 alumnus of Industrial Economics and General Manager of Hubei Dinglong Holdings Co., Ltd., Da Ning, Director of the Alumni Work and Social Cooperation Department of ZUEL, Wu Haitao, Dean of the SBA and Director of the MBA Education Center, Yu Xiaopeng, Party Secretary of the SBA, and over 100 guests including alumni representatives and candidate members of the Alumni Council attended the ceremony. The event was hosted by Xu Xiaoxiao, a 2024 cohort MBA student.
In his speech, President Zhu Fangwei warmly welcomed the returning alumni, introduced the university’s explorations and reforms for high-quality development over the past year, and mentioned the planned "Alumni Partner Program" and "Alumni Twin Program", encouraging alumni to visit the university frequently.

Zhu Shunquan, as a senior alumni representative, shared his career experience and emphasized the value of integrating technology with traditional culture, expressing pride in the university’s achievements and expectations for the SBA’s talent cultivation.

Subsequently, Da Ning read the approval for the establishment of the Wuhan Branch, and Yu Xiaopeng announced the list of the first Council of the Wuhan Branch. The ceremony also included a flag-handover and oath-taking session.

Zheng Wei, President of the Wuhan Branch and a 2013 cohort doctoral student in Agricultural Economics, and Qin Jiao, Secretary-General of the Wuhan Branch and a 2014 cohort MBA alumna, delivered speeches respectively, expressing their determination to serve alumni and connect the university. Dean Wu Haitao made a concluding speech, stating that the establishment of the Wuhan Branch was a milestone, and the SBA would serve as a strong support for alumni’s career development. Professor Fei Xianzheng from the Marketing Management Department later gave a keynote lecture on "Business Research Supporting Marketing Practice Innovation".

The establishment of the Wuhan Branch marks a new stage in the SBA’s regional and refined alumni work. It will further strengthen the emotional bond between alumni and the university, promote resource sharing and win-win cooperation among alumni, and inject alumni strength into the SBA’s talent cultivation and local economic development.
