On May 11th, 2025, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL) hosted the 11th edition of the MBA Charity Children’s Joy Camp—an event blending cool summer breezes with the warm glow of companionship. Guided by the spirit of public welfare and the strength of presence, this event was designed to offer MBA and EMBA students and their children a meaningful day of shared growth and joy.
"One, two, three—freeze! At the call of the game, the children stood still like statues. Through light-hearted games and laughter, the teachers used play as a bridge, transforming the first summer encounter into the opening chapter of connection and trust.
In a magical twist, the teacher pulled out cloud-like bread buns, sparking a frenzy of fun as children sat in circles to exchange flavors and compare the funniest bite marks. At 9:30 a.m., the puzzle challenge kicked off with excitement. “Start with the edges, then fill in the middle!” Teachers gently guided the children, who quickly dove into the task. Some furrowed their brows in concentration while others lit up with joy when a piece fit perfectly, eagerly sharing their success with teammates.
From lightly jumping over rainbow hurdles to chasing silver arcs with badminton rackets; from sprinting with full force on the track to laughing while helping each other stretch—on this day, the teachers shed their usual roles as formal guides and became super-powered teammates immersed in the children’s world.
In the paper-cutting craft session, children teamed up to assemble flower bouquets, tying them with satin ribbons into delicate gifts. Held on Mother's Day weekend, these handcrafted offerings became the purest expressions of love and gratitude.
Holding their bouquets high and flashing victory signs, the children posed for photos with sweat-dampened bangs and smiles brighter than the summer sun. Upholding the university’s core educational philosophy of “Virtue for the Public Good,” this Joy Camp used charity as its anchor to support both academic-family balance for MBA students and confidence-building, joy-filled experiences for their children. It stands as a vivid example of ZUEL’s enduring commitment to compassionate, holistic education.
