Introduction:

Zhongnan University of Economics and Law(ZUEL) is one of the second batch of universities in China to offer MBA education. The university places great emphasis on MBA education and has put forward the guiding principle of "leveraging the university’s full resources to support MBA education." In 2000, the MBA program was separated from the School of Business Administration(SBA), and a dedicated MBA Education Center was established. In 2004, it was renamed the "Zhongnan University of Economics and Law MBA School." In August 2018, in response to the evolving needs of MBA education, the university undertook a major strategic adjustment by reintegrating the MBA School into the SBA and renaming it the "MBA Education Center." Since then, the MBA program has gained stronger academic and faculty support, and the governance structure has been further improved. This has also allowed the MBA program to better embody the university’s strengths and distinctive academic focus in Economics, Law, and Management.

As the dedicated institution overseeing MBA education, the MBA Education Center is primarily responsible for admissions, academic affairs, student activities, thesis and degree management, as well as alumni and career development. It has also established 19 open teaching and research offices, aligned with the unique characteristics of the MBA program.

Our MBA education program currently offers two part-time degree programs: MBA and EMBA. The MBA Education Center features dedicated classrooms, case discussion rooms, lecture halls, laboratories, and reading rooms. After 30 years of development, ZUEL's MBA program has leveraged its strengths in economics, management, and law, integrated the university’s top faculty, and developed China’s most distinctive MBA program integrating these three disciplines. Our interdisciplinary talent cultivation model, combining Economics, Law, and Management, helps enterprises enhance strategic positioning, solve challenges in finance, investment, and legal affairs, and ensure sustainable business growth. Our MBA program enjoys widespread recognition and a strong reputation in society, with applicant numbers and enrollment scale ranking among the top in China.

The MBA program at ZUEL has cultivated nearly 10,000 MBA graduates. Among them are Dong Mingzhu, Chairwoman of Gree Electric Appliances; Che Jianxin, Chairman of Red Star Macalline; Chen Hao, Deputy General Manager and Member of the Party Committee of Dongfeng Motor Corporation; and Zhu Wankui, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Hubei Agricultural Development Group—numerous business leaders distinguished by their leadership and commitment to social responsibility. Additionally, our graduates include She Youyuan, recognized as one of the Top Ten Young Entrepreneurs in Hubei Province and a recipient of Wuhan’s May 1st Labor Medal, and Dong Lizhi, named one of China’s Top Ten Chief Legal Officers, along with many other outstanding young professionals.
