To promote reform and innovation in talent training and enhance graduate employment quality, the School of Business Administration (SBA), Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL), held the “University-Enterprise Cooperation & Collaborative Education” Forum on Management Talent Training Reform and Innovation on 24th October, 2025. Representatives from Shenzhen Talent Group, China 15th Metallurgical Construction Group, Jianmin Pharmaceutical Group, Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., and Longjing Environmental Protection joined faculty and students from the management division to discuss talent training and university-enterprise collaboration.

The forum was chaired by Yu Xiaopeng, Party Secretary of SBA, with attendance from Wen Xi, Director of the Career Guidance and Services Center; Wang Jianrong, Party Secretary of the School of Public Administration; Du Peng, Vice Dean of SBA and Deputy Director of the MBA Education Center; Ge Ming, Deputy Party Secretary and Administrative Vice Dean of SBA; Yuan Yuan, Deputy Party Secretary of SBA; and Liu Yu, Deputy Party Secretary and Administrative Vice Dean of the School of Accounting.

During the meeting, Wang Jianrong, Du Peng, and Liu Yu introduced the schools’ talent training features, disciplinary strengths, and graduate employment outcomes. They proposed initiatives such as establishing joint university-enterprise internship and practice bases, promoting collaborative research projects, sharing teaching and industry resources, and building regular communication mechanisms to enhance talent development through university-enterprise collaboration.

Corporate representatives, including Zhang Hui, Wang Qiong, Wang Xuebin, Li Pengfei, and Tong Fanyu, shared insights on industry trends and talent requirements. They emphasized that compound talents with innovative practical skills, digital thinking, communication ability, and empathy are now highly sought after, and suggested a closer integration of industry knowledge into curricula to better prepare students for the workforce.

In the free discussion session, faculty, graduate advisors, and enterprise representatives explored internships, employment guidance, and long-term collaboration mechanisms, identifying actionable plans to support students in job matching and career planning.

Wen Xi highlighted that through “Communication, Smooth Operation, and Vision”, university-enterprise information barriers have been reduced, and future cooperation will continue to support high-quality graduate employment. The forum laid a solid foundation for collaborative talent development and the construction of an integrated university-enterprise talent community.
