To deepen industry-education integration and promote university-enterprise cooperation, Professor Wu Haitao, Dean of the School of Business Administration of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and Yu Xiaopeng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the SBA, led a delegation to visit Jointown Pharmaceutical Group recently. The delegation conducted enterprise visits for job expansion and held the awarding ceremony of the Industry-Education Integration Innovation Practice Base. Liu Zhaonian, Founder and Vice Chairman of Jointown Pharmaceutical Group, Guo Lei, Vice President, Huang Haiying, Brand Director, and Chen Liang, Vice President of Jointown University, warmly received the group. Dr. Duan Shen from the Department of Marketing Management and Zeng Zirong, Director of the Party and Government Office of the SBA, accompanied the visit.
Liu Zhaonian led the delegation to visit Jointown Community Hospital, Jointown Shangyi Hall and the Group Exhibition Hall, inspecting medical facilities, traditional Chinese medicine service innovation and digital operation achievements, and learning about its strategic layout in grassroots medical care and big health sectors. The two sides then held an in-depth forum at the enterprise headquarters to discuss university-enterprise cooperation, talent training and industry-university-research integration.
Liu Zhaonian, an outstanding alumnus of ZUEL, introduced Jointown’s development history, business layout and social responsibility efforts like medical emergency supply guarantee and rural medical support. He graduated from the Law Department of the former Hubei Institute of Finance and Economics in 1982 and has long supported his alma mater, donating 3 million yuan in 2023 to establish the Jointown Education Fund for young teachers and outstanding students.
Dean Wu Haitao thanked Liu Zhaonian for his support and noted the consistency between Jointown’s philosophy and the school’s core values, laying a solid foundation for cooperation.
The two sides discussed cooperation on case research, young teachers’ secondment to enterprises, executive training and employee MBA enrollment to cultivate high-quality management talents.
Finally, in a friendly atmosphere, Wu Haitao awarded the Industry-Education Integration Innovation Practice Base plaque to Liu Zhaonian, symbolizing deeper strategic cooperation. Yu Xiaopeng presented gifts to express gratitude to Jointown and Liu Zhaonian.
