On the afternoon of April 21, 2022, the special session of the research meeting about international accreditation in the School of Business Administration (hereafter referred to as SBA) was successfully held for administrative staff in the Drucker Meeting Room on the fifth floor of the north of the Wenquan Building, with the attendance of all school leaders, staff of the International Accreditation Office and administrative staff and the holding of Zhu Yanping, Deputy Secretary of the School’s Party Committee.

First of all, Prof. Qian Xuefeng, Dean of the School, talked about the school’s “Four Have” construction plan, that was, to be a business school which has deep history, strong education strength, distinctive school characteristics and ambitious ideals in these years. The ambitious ideal is mainly to, with the integration of economics, law and management, become a first-class business school which is based in Zhongnan University of Economics and Law with a global outlook. The international accreditation will not only enable the school's disciplines to fully go global, but also improve the school's governance system and governance capacity in all areas.

The Dean pointed out the essential role of full-time teachers and administrative staff in the development of the school. He hoped that all administrative staff could attach great importance to the international accreditation work, and strengthen their understanding of the accreditation standards. Besides, the staff should take the international accreditation as leverage to change their work pattern, optimize work processes and improve work efficiency so as to comprehensively improve their data governance capacity, and make contributions for the school to get the AACSB international accreditation as soon as possible.

Next, Ms. Wu Yingna, Director of the International Accreditation Office, through questionnaires filled out by all administrative staff before the meeting, analyzed and introduced their current understanding of international accreditation work and their willingness to participate in future work. She said that the data of these questionnaires revealed the administrative staff’s deep understanding of the international accreditation work, their positions, and international accreditation standards as well as their strong willingness to participate in the work.

Ms. Wu also introduced the flow and the key and difficult points of the accreditation work. She stated her desire for strong support from all administrative staff in future international accreditation work.

After that, the representatives of the administrative staff who participated in the International Accreditation Compliance Group including Zhang Jing, Zhu Hanbin, Sun Kaifan, Chen Ke, He Qiang, and Xu Yiling also shared their experience of working in the group, their ideas and suggestions for the international accreditation work of the school with all the leaders and administrative staff in the school. They showed their determination to participate in the international accreditation work of the school. Mr. Hu Jianming and Ms. Xiong Min from MBA Center also shared their experience of getting the three rounds of AMBA accreditation and their confidence in the school's steady progress in getting the AACSB international accreditation.

Finally, Wang Hualu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School summarized the special research meeting for administrative staff. Secretary Wang affirmed the active participation and strong support of all administrative staff of the school for the international accreditation work, and recognized the ideas and suggestions put forward by teachers.

Secretary Wang also mentioned that the first of the three major concepts of AACSB accreditation is participation. The international accreditation work cannot be done without the in-depth participation of all faculty and staff because the collective strength is endless. He proposed that all administrative staff should make great efforts in working and continuously improve themselves so as to jointly promote the high-quality development of the school.

At that point, the series of activities of the international accreditation research of this school this semester also came to a successful end. This semester, in order to practice the mass line and advance the international accreditation work --- the most practical thing that the school has done for all the faculties and students, the leadership team of this school has held five special research meetings for all the seven departments and all the administrative staff in two months. The holding of these meetings was mainly to help all the faculty and staff better understand the international accreditation work, and get the ideas and suggestions of the faculty and staff on the international accreditation work, so as to pool collective wisdom and promote the international accreditation work of the school in greater efficiency and accuracy, and higher quality.

Through the zero distance and face-to-face communication, this series of research activities have achieved the expected goal and effect as follows: firstly, the school leaders further communicate with full-time teachers and administrative staff of each department on the strategy and ideas of implementing the international accreditation work; secondly, the International Accreditation Office introduce the essential standards and current key and difficult points in the international accreditation work for full-time teachers and administrative staff of each department; thirdly, collective wisdom is pooled together to deal with the practical difficulties of each department and every administrative office.

Dean Qian has stressed many times during the research that success comes to those who share in one purpose. Only if the whole people of the school are pulled together for a common cause can the difficulties be overcome and the requirements of accreditation work be completed more efficiently. It is believed that through this series of research activities, the whole school will further forge consensus and integrate resources from all sides to promote international accreditation and realize the mutual integration and promotion of international accreditation and the improvement of the school governance system and governance capacity.
