The Round Table Forum on Collaborative Education between Class Tutors and Instructors Held by SBA

On the morning of May 5th, the second round-table forum on collaborative psychological education between class tutors and instructors was held in Wanghu Quality Education Center for College Students in Nanhu Campus. The tutors and instructors of the school learnt from experts and communicated with each other to improve the psychological education. The participants are Ge Ming, who is the vice minister of the Student Affairs Department, Associate Professor Yang Ziyun, who is the deputy director of the Psychological Health Education Consulting Center, Associate Professor He Hongjuan, who is the director of the Teaching and Research Office of the Psychological health Education for college students, representatives of class tutors and all counselors of the student office of the School of Business Administration. The forum was chaired by Li Fang, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Business Administration.


Li Fang, the deputy secretary, introduced the psychological health education conducted by the School of Business Administration to the teachers, and explained the concept and operation mechanism of the five-in-one psychological education ecosystem, which is ‘education and teaching, practical activities, counseling services, prevention and intervention, and psychological culture’ created under the guidance of the school’s Psychology Center. At the same time, the importance of the class tutors and instructors in students’ psychological health education was also emphasized. With a group of data, she introduced the relevant situation of psychological health education in the college to all teachers, and emphasized the importance of psychological education.


During the case study, the instructors and class tutors of all grades put forward common problems and typical cases in students’ psychological work, mainly covering the interpersonal relationship and professional adaptation of college students, academic pressure and employment problems, emotional problems and psychological crisis intervention and other aspects under the impact of the epidemic. Then, the experts gave in-depth interpretation of each case from a professional perspective and gave advice to the teachers. Teachers all actively participated in the discussion and took the initiative to communicate and interact. In the end, Ge Ming, the vice minister of the Student Affairs Department of the school, made a summary speech, affirming the value and significance of the round table forum, conveying to everyone the relevant spirit of the Ministry of Education on psychological health education, and expressing good expectations for the teachers’ psychological education work in the future.

 

It is reported that the forum on collaborative education between the class tutors and instructor is an exploration of the ‘Three Full-scale Education Work’ by the School of Business Administration, including collaborative education on psychology, employment and academic performance. Before and after the forum, the psychological health education workstation of the School of Business Administration also issued questionnaires to the tutors of the whole school to investigate the current situation and difficulties in their psychological education work, in order to enhance the pertinence and timeliness of the work. In the later stage, the school will compile the Operation Manual of Psychological Education for class tutors to provide guidance and institutional guarantee for the cooperation of class tutors and counselors in psychological education.
