March 15, 2021 was the 58th Lei Feng Memorial Day and also the 22nd Youth Volunteer Service Day. On the March 7th, 2021 at noon, a campus-cleaning activity was launched by the graduate students of Class of 2019 and 2020 from SBA in order to vigorously cultivate and practice core socialist values, and further foster the Lei Feng Spirit and volunteer service.
At the beginning, the students learned the purpose of this campus-cleaning activity and emphasized the importance of “dedicating and laboring as Lei Feng”. After detailed division of the sanitary area and distribution of cleaning tools, the students carried out a comprehensive cleaning of key areas such as the square and corridors in Wenquan Building and the green belt of Zhongyuan Avenue. Through more than an hour of hard work, the students swept out 8 bags of garbage. While experiencing the hard work, they also gained happiness and contentment.
Through this activity, the students deeply realized the value of Lei Feng spirit, and also enhanced their awareness of serving others and contributing to the society.
