At the AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards 2022/23 and Gala Dinner at 8:00 PM UK time on 9 December in London, UK, the Center for Female Leadership and Student Career Development of SBA and the EMBA alumni Che Jianxing were nominated in the categories of the Best Culture, Diversity and Inclusion Initiative Award and MBA Leadership Award respectively.
Open for the membership from AMBA & BGA Schools around the world, the 10 categories of AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards were six Awards for Best Business Schools and four individual Awards for MBA students and alumni. 30 academic and industry elites from around the world were invited by AMBA & BGA to form a strong lineup of judges. 50 nominees were selected this year with a total of 36 institutions from 20 countries, including the UK, Canada, France, Australia and Germany. With many business schools of universities in China actively applying for the awards, finally, 7 applications from 5 universities including SBA of ZUEL, School of Management of Huazhong University of Science & Technology and Dongwu Business School of Soochow University were nominated, have entered the final fierce competition for the AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards 2022/23.
Although the Center for Female Leadership and Student Career Development of SBA of ZUEL was established only one year ago, it greatly promoted the high-quality development of leadership training and career capacity building of female learners in SBA with its strong scientific prowess, the influence of outstanding female alumni, diversified expert teams and the “one-to-one” tutorial system. Meanwhile, it set an excellent example for the majority of female learners to grow and be successful, and contributed to the diversified development of female learners. As the first research center in China to focus on the leadership training and career development of female learners, the Center also provided a new pattern for learners of business schools worldwide in the training and development of different cultures, diversity and inclusion during the application and nomination of the AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards.
Che Jianxing, chairman of Red Star Macalline Group Corporation and an EMBA alumnus of SBA of ZUEL, was committed to his dream about home style and culture. He dedicated himself to promoting the culture of loving family in the hope that the concept of loving family and life could reach hundreds of millions of families in China. Che Jianxing’s innovative business management ideas, unique management philosophy and strong corporate social responsibility were perfect interpretation of the excellence of a Chinese entrepreneur. That was why he became the only Chinese nominee for this year’s MBA Leadership Award.
The two nominations for the AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards 2022/23 were the breakthroughs of zero for our school’s application for international business school awards since 2011 when the international accreditation started. It was also an affirmation of our school’s efforts to comprehensively improve the internationalization of the disciplines by taking international accreditation as the starting point. The nomination would be a driver of SBA of ZUEL to achieve better results on best practice and innovation of Excellence Awards, and to embark on a new journey together with business schools around the world.
