On the afternoon of January 17th, the first session of the 14th People’s Congress of Hubei Province was successfully closed in the Hongshan Assembly Hall of Wuchang and various agendas were successfully completed. Professor Zheng Jiaxi from the SBA, deputy of the 14th Hubei Provincial People’s Congress, was elected as a member of the Standing Committee of the 14th Hubei Provincial People’s Congress.
75 members of the Standing Committee were elected in the 14th People’s Congress of Hubei Province, including one director, six deputy directors, one secretary-general and 67 members of the Standing Committee. The list of candidates for the Commission of Legal Affairs, Supervisory and Judicial Committee, Financial and Economic Committee, Education, Science, Culture and Public Health Committee, Ethnic and Religious Committee of Overseas Chinese and Affairs Foreign Affairs, Agriculture and Rural Committee, Urban and Rural Construction and Environmental Resources Protection Committee and Social Construction Committee of the 14th People’s Congress of Hubei Province was voted and approved in turn in the Congress. Professor Zheng Jiaxi was elected as a member of the Financial and Economic Committee.
Zheng Jiaxi is currently the deputy dean of the SBA of ZUEL, the deputy director of the Rural Revitalization Research Center, the deputy chairman of the Hubei Provincial Committee of Jiu San Society, a member of the Standing Committee of the 14th Hubei Provincial People’s Congress, and a member of the Financial and Economic Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress. He also won the recognition of “National Excellent Member” for the 70th anniversary of the founding of Jiu San Society, advanced individual of Jiu San Society for participating in the administration and discussion of state affairs in 2018-2020 (2021), advanced individual in democratic supervision in poverty alleviation and difficulties tackling of Jiu San Society (2021), and first prize of Hubei Excellent Research Achievement Award (2022).
