The Department of Education of Hubei Province has released the recognition result of provincial-level first-class undergraduate courses in 2022. There are 18 ZUEL courses on the list, two of which are from the SBA: China’s Foreign Trade by Associate Professor Song Weiliang was recognized as an online first-class course; Company Research and Establishment by Professor Zhao Chenhu was recognized as a first-class course of social practice.

In recent years, by improving teaching capacity of faculty, optimizing curriculum management and developing course project teams, SBA has actively planned and fostered the construction of first-class undergraduate courses in order to promote course reform. As of now, 6 national-level first-class undergraduate courses and 10 provincial-level first-class undergraduate courses of SBA have been approved.

China’s Foreign Trade is a compulsory course for learners who major in International Economics and Trade. The course was rated as the provincial-level Elaborate Course of Hubei Province in 2009, followed by the release of two textbooks with the same title China’s Foreign Trade Course, which were published respectively in 2010 and 2015. In 2020, the course was rated as the first-class blended-teaching (online and offline) course by ZUEL. In 2022, it was rated as the first-class undergraduate course of Hubei Province.
Company Research and Establishment is a general course (in the comprehensive development sector) in ZUEL. It was rated as a first-class course of social practice within ZUEL in 2020. The course has been rated as a school-level model course of responsible management education in early 2022, and later in December it was recognized as a provincial-level first-class course of social practice.
