Zhou Xinhao, A 2021 PhD Student, Lands UNESCAP Internship

Recently, Zhou Xinhao, a PhD student of Agricultural Economics in the class of 2021 in the School of Business Administration (SBA), has been awarded an internship offer by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), and will work in the field of climate change, GIS and other areas of sustainable development. This is the first time that a student of SBA has been successfully employed in an open selection for an internship in an international organization.


 

ESCAP is one of the five regional commissions under the United Nations Economic and Social Council, with its headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand. Its main function is to promote the socio-economic development of the region through regional and subregional cooperation. ESCAP is a subsidiary organization of the United Nations and its work includes researching and proposing and formulating new measures to promote the economic development of member States in the Asia-Pacific region through the collection, assessment and dissemination of relevant economic, scientific and technical and statistical information within the region.



In the future, the school will continue to uphold the characteristic mode of talent cultivation of innovation, integration and internationalization, and continue to expand the reservoir of high-level international talents.
