AACSB Mentor Hsu Pingyu Visits Our School

From December 26th to 28th, 2023, our AACSB International Accreditation Mentor, Prof. Hsu Pingyu, Vice President of National Central University of Taiwan, visited our school and had a cordial meeting with Vice President Liu Renshan.



On the morning of December 27, Vice President Liu Renshan, Yuan Yuan, Deputy Director of International Exchange Department and representatives of faculty leaders attended the meeting with Vice President Hsu Pingyu. Vice President Liu Renshan pointed out that AACSB international accreditation is of great significance for the School of Business Administration (SBA) to be in line with the standards of the international first-class business schools and to promote the internationalization of the school and the university.



Vice President Hsu Pingyu highly praised the School's faculty cultivation mechanism, student training mechanism, as well as the school's characteristics in women's leadership research and practice, and fully affirmed the progress of the school's AACSB international accreditation work so far.



Wu Haitao, Dean of SBA, reported in detail the overview of the School and the five integration concepts, as well as the work progress and plans for AACSB international accreditation. Vice President Hsu Pingyu fully affirmed the work done and progress made by the School, and said that the School has many distinctive features and highlights, which he hoped the School could further explore and condense in the future report writing. In addition, Vice President Hsu Pingyu made comments and suggestions on the further optimization and improvement of our innovative initiatives, risk assessment and staff development.



Secretary Yu Xiaopeng expressed his hope that our institute would regard this mentor visit as a valuable learning opportunity for systematic self-assessment and continuous improvement under the standards of AACSB accreditation.



Prof. Wen Hao, Deputy Director of MBA Education Center, introduced to Vice President Hsu Pingyu the characteristics of our MBA education and the fruitful achievements in recent years, and both sides also discussed in depth the innovative development mode and future trend of MBA education.



Prof. Du Peng, Academic Director of MBA, also accompanied Vice President Hsu Pingyu to visit the MBA featured mobile classroom located in the Huanghelou Campus, explaining on the spot how the School creates an immersive and innovative learning mode.



In addition, Vice President Hsu Pingyu also had a special discussion with representatives of current students and MBA alumni, and gained an in-depth understanding of the effectiveness of the School's talent cultivation from the different perspectives of current students and alumni, as well as listened to students' views on the development of the School. Vice President Hsu Pingyu highly appreciated the performance of the students.



Vice President Hsu Pingyu's visit to our school has given him a comprehensive understanding of the School's continuous improvement for AACSB accreditation, sorted out the key points of the School's accreditation work, and put forward valuable suggestions for improvement and guidance. All the faculty and staff SBA will continue to make concerted efforts to carry out the continuous improvement work according to the mentor's comments and suggestions, and expect to submit the second progress report successfully in February 2024, striving for the early accreditation by AACSB International.
