On September 12, 2024, at 4:00 p.m., the leadership of the School of Business Administration (SBA) and all the members of the International Accreditation Office held an online meeting with the Joint Re-accreditation Expert Panel of AMBA & BGA in the Conference Room 701, Wenhan Building East. The accreditation expert panel consists of three experts: Prof. Bodo Schlegelmilch, former Dean of the Business School of the Vienna University of Technology and Business, who also serves as the Chairman of the accreditation expert panel; Prof. Wang Zhongming, member of the International Advisory Board of AMBA & BGA and General Counsel of China; and Mr. George Iliev, Director of Strategic Programs and Innovation and Director of AMBA & BGA in China. Prof. Wu Haitao, Dean of SBA, Mr. Yu Xiaopeng, the Secretary of SBA, Prof. Fei Xianzheng, Hu Chuan, Wenhao, and Prof. Shi Junwei, Associate Deans, Mr. Nijiati Aimati, Deputy Secretary, and Associate Prof. Wu Yingna, Director of the International Accreditation Office, as well as all the members of the International Accreditation Office, attended the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, the accreditation expert panel had a cordial exchange and self-introduction with the leaders of our institute. Our leaders expressed their heartfelt thanks to the accreditation expert panel for taking time out of their busy schedules to provide guidance for our joint AMBA & BGA reaccreditation sprint.
Afterwards, Dean Wu Haitao reported in detail the important development achievements of the College in recent years, including the construction of the Center for Female Leadership and Student Career Development, the construction of the two first-level disciplines, the 3C cultivation model of MBA education, the advancement of ESG practice, as well as the relocation of the new building, and other major matters.
Prof. Bodo Schlegemilch highly appreciated the unremitting efforts made by the institute in the field of international accreditation, and Prof. Wang Zhongming also fully affirmed the excellent performance shown by the institute in promoting the international accreditation process. Mr. George Iliev witnessed the progress made by the institute in the areas of teaching, research and international cooperation, etc.
Afterwards, the leaders of the institute and the expert panel had an in-depth communication and discussion on the specific requirements of the upcoming AMBA & BGA joint re-accreditation site visit from October 28th to October 29th this year.
This online communication meeting not only deepened our understanding of AMBA & BGA joint re-accreditation, but also pointed out the direction of the preparation for the upcoming on-site visit.
