The Alumni Symposium on Discipline Construction and Development of the Department of Marketing Management was Successfully Held

On 26th October 2024, the Department of Marketing Management of the School of Business Administration(SBA) held a symposium on "Discipline Construction and Development of the Department of Marketing Management."



Before the meeting, Wang Xinguang from the Department of Marketing Management took the alumni to visit the newly relocated school building.



At 3 PM, the alumni professional exchange meeting officially began, chaired by Fan Shuai, Director of the Department of Marketing Management. She briefly introduced the purpose and agenda of the symposium under the theme of "Inheritance, Innovation, and Influence."



Ran Yaxuan from the Department of Marketing Management posed two questions: "Are you still in the field of marketing?" and "What is the biggest gain from studying marketing?" These questions led to a detailed professional introduction.



Subsequently, the teachers from the Department of Marketing Management also made speeches. They emphasized that the school has always attached great importance to professional construction and focused on cultivating students' practical abilities and innovative spirit.



In the following free discussion session, the alumni put forward valuable opinions and suggestions from different angles on the construction and development of the marketing major. 



They pointed out the need to: Strengthen practical teaching and improve actual combat abilities; Keep up with the trends of the times and promote professional innovation; Strengthen brand building and expand professional influence; Pay attention to the all-around development of students and cultivate compound talents; Strengthen the construction of the faculty and improve the quality of teaching.



At the end of the symposium, Fei Xianzheng, Vice Dean of the SBA, delivered a concluding speech. He stated that the school will earnestly absorb the opinions and suggestions of the alumni and strive to improve the overall level and influence of the marketing major.
