Department of Human Resource Management Successfully Hosts Academic Lecture on "Cutting-edge Research in Sustainable Human Resource Management"

On the morning of September 23th, 2024, the academic lecture “Frontier Research on Sustainable Human Resource Management (HRM)” of Human Resource Management Department was successfully held in 110 classrooms of Wenxu Building. Ms. Yingfang Li, Distinguished Professor of HRM and Asian Studies at Monash University Business School, Australia, was invited to give this lecture. Human Relations” and other internationally recognized academic journals.



Under the background of globalization and informationization, enterprises are facing challenges such as rapid technological changes and increased social and environmental responsibilities. These factors have prompted companies to seek sustainable development paths, and sustainable human resource management has become a key factor. Prof. Li focused on the change from strategic HRM to sustainable HRM and some recent theoretical and empirical advances related to sustainable HRM.



In the first presentation on the study of sustainable HRM, Prof. Li explained the research framework of sustainable HRM. Then, Prof. Li introduced the trends of HRM research from the organizational level, employee level, technological level and the dark side of HRM respectively. Finally, Prof. Li made an outlook on the future of HRM research.
