To address the imbalance in the regional distribution of educational resources and support education in remote areas, the QingniaoVoluntary Team of the School of Business Administration(SBA) of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law(ZUEL) carried out online teaching activities every Thursday from November 7th, 2024 to January 2nd, 2025.
During the preparation stage, the members of the QingniaoVoluntary Team established strict selection criteria and procedures to evaluate the students who applied. In the end, a group of outstanding school student volunteers were selected. These volunteers made full use of their limited spare time to prepare teaching materials with a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism. Afterwards, the eagerly awaited volunteers finally met online with the children at Yanjing Primary School in Yanjin County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province through the Penguin Teaching Platform, and officially started the online teaching sessions. During this meaningful process, the children gained a lot. They not only acquired a wealth of knowledge in class but also deeply felt the care and warmth coming from afar.
Issues such as unstable internet connections and equipment failures occasionally arose. However, despite these challenges, the volunteers remained patient and enthusiastic, actively seeking solutions. To ensure the quality of teaching, they regularly evaluated their performance and continuously refined their teaching methods.
The volunteers provided children with care and support, fostering a sense of warmth and hope, enhancing their confidence and courage, broadening their horizons, and inspiring their dreams and aspirations. It is believed that, inspired by these online teaching activities, more individuals will join the teaching team, jointly contributing to educational equity, social development, and the dissemination of positive values.
