PhD. in Economics, Internationally Certified Valuer, Postdoctoral Fellow of the Institute of Industrial Economics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Visiting Scholar of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the United States. Currently, he is a professor and deputy dean of the School of Business Administration and deputy director of the MBA Education Center at ZUEL.



Topic: Value Discovery and Assessment of Data Assets


Main Content: Data has become the focus of current digital economy development. Data has been listed as a new production factor at the national level, and 2024 is regarded as the first year of data assets in China. However, the key to data assetization is to sort out the mode and mechanism of data participation in value creation. The report explores the ways to discover the value of data assets and assessment methods in light of the current challenges in the process of data assetization.

Wang Wei is currently responsible for the Technical Economy Center of the Economic and Technical Research Institute of State Grid Hubei Electric Power Co., Ltd. and has long been leading the completion of key life cycle management tasks such as evaluation of physical asset management, asset wall size prediction and risk assessment of State Grid, and has been ranked as “A” in the State Grid.

Main content: At present, the state vigorously promotes large-scale equipment renewal and reconstruction, and power grid enterprises are facing multiple challenges of maintaining safety and fine investment, reducing electricity price and increasing efficiency, strengthening supervision and promoting development, which puts forward higher requirements for lean management of power grid assets. In order to meet the multi-dimensional needs of cost monitoring, enterprise operation and asset lean management, we promote the value remodeling of over-age assets of power grids, deepen the analysis of the economic benefits of different modes of transformation and investment, and put forward asset management strategies, such as asset group packaging, differentiated technological reform, and dynamic adjustment of depreciation life, so as to help improve the allocation of resources and the ability of value creation, and vigorously enhance the quality and efficiency of the operation of power grid companies.
