AACSB Accreditation Expert Professor Michael Lee Visits SBA to Guide Accreditation Work

On March 25th at noon, Professor Michael Lee had an in-depth exchange with President Zhu Fangwei of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, as well as Dean Wu Haitao, Secretary Yu Xiaopeng, and Director of the International Accreditation Office Wu Yingna from the School of Business Administration (SBA) regarding the AACSB international accreditation work. President Zhu Fangwei warmly welcomed Professor Lee’s visit and emphasized the significance of AACSB international accreditation for aligning SBA with world-class standards and enhancing the university’s internationalization. Professor Lee thanked President Zhu for his presence and highly praised the university’s teacher training mechanism and student development system, while also acknowledging the progress made by SBA in AACSB accreditation efforts.



In the afternoon of March 25th, Professor Lee held a leadership exchange meeting with the administrative leadership team of SBA. Dean Wu Haitao first expressed sincere gratitude to Professor Lee for his guidance. Professor Lee gave high praise to the achievements in SBA's accreditation work and provided a professional interpretation of the core accreditation standards of AACSB, offering specific guidance based on the actual situation of SBA.



On the morning of March 27th, Professor Lee held a guidance meeting for the entire faculty of SBA’s International Accreditation Compliance Group and AoL Working Group. He systematically explained the AACSB international accreditation site visit process and its preparatory work, focusing on key aspects of certification requirements and practical operations.



In the afternoon of March 27th, Professor Lee conducted a special training lecture on AACSB international accreditation for all faculty and staff of SBA. Drawing from his years of experience with international accreditation evaluations, he provided an in-depth analysis of the core concepts, the latest standards, and the resource requirements of AACSB accreditation.



Later on the afternoon of March 27th, Professor Lee held a working seminar with all members of the International Accreditation Office. The discussion covered key aspects such as accreditation evaluator recommendations, the completion of site visit application forms, and visit scheduling. The seminar provided detailed guidance for subsequent accreditation work.



Throughout his three-day visit, Professor Lee highly recognized SBA’s accreditation efforts and offered systematic improvement suggestions for addressing key challenges. His guidance has set the direction for the subsequent writing of the SER and the site visit process. Going forward, SBA will unite its efforts to efficiently advance the AACSB international accreditation process with the goal of achieving certification as soon as possible.
