On 29th April 2025, the School of Business Administration (SBA) at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL) held an employment mobilization meeting at the Wenhan Building for the Class of 2026. SBA Dean Professor Wu Haitao, SBA Secretary Yu Xiaopeng, SBA Deputy Secretary Zhu Yanping, and SBA Deputy Secretary Nigeti Aimaiti attended the event. The SBA specially invited Jia Xiao, Deputy Director of the Career Guidance and Service Center of ZUEL, to deliver a report on employment trends, and Zhang Yuqian from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) to give a thematic lecture on employment. Graduating students and counselors participated. The meeting was hosted by graduate counselor Xu Yiling.
Dean Wu Haitao delivered an employment mobilization speech. He emphasized the significance of employment not only as a personal milestone but also as a contributor to family stability and social progress. He encouraged students to recognize the challenges of the current job market—such as intensified competition and structural mismatches—and to act early. Highlighting the need for proactive planning, Dean Wu Haitao urged students to break disciplinary barriers, develop interdisciplinary skills, set clear goals, and take initiative in the job-seeking process.
Deputy Director Jia Xiao delivered an in-depth analysis of the current employment situation.He identified key pain points in ZUEL employment effortsand recommended that students shouldleverage their fresh graduate status, challenge traditional job-hunting mindsets to achieve high-quality employment.Jia Xiao also encouraged students to actively explore their individual career paths through practice.
The SBA invited Zhang Yuqian, a counselor from HUST, a first prize winner in a national teaching innovation competition for employment guidance courses.He gave a lecture titled “Decoding New-Quality Workplace Competence: Status, Mindset, and Opportunities”,focusing on employment mindsets, industry opportunities, and job-hunting strategies. He encouraged students to identify niche opportunities, align their strengths with targeted positions, and prepare tailored resumes in advance.
Through strategic insights and practical guidance, the meeting provided valuable support to help the Class of 2026 approach their job search with clarity and confidence.It is hoped that all graduates will remain true to the SBA motto“Knowledge and Practice Bring You Truth, Honesty and Integrity Take You Far”, embrace challenges, face challenges with courage, and forge ahead with determination, writing their own chapters of youth and perseverance.
