On the morning of April 29th, 2025, the third session of the "She Wisdom" Lecture Series on Women's Leadership, organized by the Women's Leadership and University Student Career Development Research Center of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL), was held as scheduled in Room 718, North Wing, Wenhan Building.

This session featured Ms. Lu Dan, a distinguished alumna from the Class of 2000 majoring in International Economics and Trade at ZUEL. She currently serves as the Secretary-General of the Wuhan Universities’ Suzhou Alumni Alliance, Secretary-General of the ZUEL Suzhou Alumni Association, and the founder of Benyanxu Cultural & Arts Center in Suzhou. Ms. Lu delivered a keynote lecture titled "Women’s Leadership: An Upward Life State," sharing her entrepreneurial journey and leadership insights as a modern female entrepreneur.

The lecture was hosted by Associate Professor Zhou Lingxu, Director of the Women's Leadership and University Student Career Development Research Center. More than 30 faculty and student representatives attended the event, including Deputy Director Rao Danxue of the Office of Alumni Affairs and Social Cooperation, Deputy Secretary Zhu Yanping of the School of Business Administration, and Professor Xi Yanle of the Department of International Trade.

At the beginning of the event, Professor Zhou warmly welcomed Ms. Lu and introduced the two main themes of the lecture: sharing of female leadership experiences in entrepreneurship, and an appreciation of cultural and creative products from Suzhou’s intangible cultural heritage enterprises. She expressed hope that the event would inspire both undergraduate and postgraduate students in leadership development while nurturing their appreciation for traditional aesthetics.

Drawing from her personal journey, Ms. Lu shared how she transitioned from employment to unemployment and ultimately to entrepreneurship, distilling her experiences into valuable leadership insights. She emphasized that women's leadership is an upward life attitude, advocating the importance of listening, developing one’s own edge in the workplace, and maintaining a humble and composed mindset as key traits of effective leadership.

At the end of the event, Deputy Secretary Zhu Yanping awarded Ms. Lu with the “Mentor for Women’s Leadership Development” certificate, expressing hope that she will continue to support her alma mater by empowering more students to enhance their leadership capacity and career skills.

Throughout the “She Wisdom” lecture, the attending students and faculty engaged enthusiastically with Ms. Lu, gaining practical workplace insights and a deeper understanding of the challenges and resilience required on the entrepreneurial path.
