The 6th session of vocational training for administrative personnel of the School of Business Administration (SBA) was successfully held in Conference Room East 718 of Wenhan Building on the morning of 9th June. Aligning with the University’s requirements for comprehensively deepening reform and enhancing management efficiency, the training was themed "The 'Nine Swords of Dugu' in Management". Professor Du Peng, Associate Dean of the School and Deputy Director of the MBA Education Center, was invited as the keynote speaker. Zhu Yanping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and Administrative Vice Dean of the School, presided over the event, which was attended by all administrative staff of the SBA.

Professor Du drew inspiration from the "Nine Swords of Dugu" in martial arts novels, systematically expounding the nine core essentials of management: "Master core philosophies, set goals, build a leadership team, select talents, implement motivation strategies, deliver results, cultivate strong generals, construct a team, and forge culture". Combining classic cases at home and abroad, the school's practical work, and his personal management experience, he provided in-depth yet accessible analyses of management wisdom, proposing the core concept that "Management is not about control, but about empowerment". Participants unanimously stated that they gained significant insights from the training.

The SBA has continuously promoted the professionalization of its administrative team in recent years. Since implementing the Administrative Personnel Vocational Training Management Measures in 2020, it has established a three-dimensional training system combining "off-campus platform training, in-house business training, and college centralized training". By innovating training models, SBA aims to build a learning-oriented administrative team characterized by excellent professionalism, accountability, dedication, and service awareness—striving to boost the school’s high-quality development.

The keynote speaker of this event was Professor Du Peng, Associate Dean of our School and Deputy Director of the MBA Education Center. Associate Dean Du concurrently serves as Executive Director of the Hubei Marketing Association, Director of the China University Marketing Association, and Director of the New Media Marketing Special Committee of the China University Marketing Association.
