To further understand and respond to students' demands, and guide students to explore the growth path and era responsibility of business youth, on the afternoon of 11th June, the School of Business Administration (SBA) held the 2024-level "Qingyu · Listening" Faculty-Student Symposium at the One-Stop Community of Wenhan Building, Shouyi Campus.Attending the symposium were Wu Haitao, Dean of SBA;Nijat Ehmed, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Shui Jingjing, Director of the Student Affairs Office and Counselor for the Class of 2022; Liu Zhenxing, Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee and Counselor for the Class of 2022; Liu Nian and Pan Junyi, Counselors for the Class of 2024; and student representatives of the Class of 2024. The symposium was presided over by Fan Mengyu, Grade Director of the Class of 2024 undergraduates.
At the beginning of the symposium, student representatives raised in-depth questions on multiple dimensions. Wei Ye and Ren Shiyu explored digital-intelligent curriculum reform and composite capability development; Chen Jun inquired about specific cultivation measures for students' core competencies; Akbota Saikaiasked about career direction-seeking and enhancement of core employability competitiveness; Zhao Xinqin centered on the alignment of international competence cultivation, cross-cultural communication skills, and international business education; Ma Yue and Wu Shiying sought advice on ESG concept practice and alumni network construction, respectively; Zeren Zhuoma expressed concern about major diversion choices.
Dean Wu Haitao listened carefully to students' questions, provided patient answers by citing classics and combining personal experiences. He stated that the school should rely on its strong research capabilities to deliver cutting-edge knowledge.Regarding the implementation measures of the "Five Integrations", Dean Wu pointed out that the school integrates diverse knowledge into courses, practice, and scientific research through the "Knowledge-Action-Realization" trinity, providing all-round support for students. On the cultivation of interdisciplinary capabilities and international literacy, he emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary integration with cases.Addressing professional prejudices such as "narrow employment prospects for Business Administration", Dean Wu explained: To enhance competitiveness, undergraduates should break professional limitationsand make good use of alumni resources.
Subsequently, Deputy Secretary Nijat Ehmed and all counselors also carefully answered students' various questions about study and life.At the end of the meeting, Dean Wu Haitao also sent a message to the students: "Business students should not focus too much on utilitarianism, but should go to where the people need them most!"
The "Qingyu · Listening" symposium has built an in-depth communication platform for faculty and students of the School, not only addressing students' numerous puzzles in study, life, and future planning, but also enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of the school's development strategy and education philosophy.
