To enhance the quality of ideological-political education and foster collaborative learning between faculty and students, the School of Business Administration (SBA) at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL) continues to implement its signature “Responsible Management Education” series. Through themed lectures, open discussions, and classroom visits, school leaders and faculty members engage directly with students to promote values-based education and academic development.

On 11th June 2025, Dean Wu Haitao, Deputy Party Secretary Nigaiti Aimaiti, student counselors, and representatives of the Class of 2024 gathered at the Wenhan Building for a special roundtable and joint class titled “Qingyu Dialogue: Listening to the Voices of Youth.”

Students raised questions concerning strategic development, capacity building, and alumni networks. After listening to their concerns, Dean Wu Haitao emphasized the SBA’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge knowledge through its strong research capacity, integrating artificial intelligence into curriculum reform, promoting practice-based learning via university–enterprise cooperation, and publishing ESG reports to cultivate social responsibility. He encouraged students to broaden their academic perspectives, develop logical thinking and interdisciplinary skills, and actively participate in research and internships. He concluded: “Business students should not focus solely on utilitarian goals—they should serve where the people need them most.”

On 5th June 2025, the SBA held a faculty development and ethics session at the South Lecture Hall of Wenhan Building. Party Secretary Yu Xiaopeng led a themed seminar on professional conduct and ethics in education, drawing on case studies and the Ten Guidelines for University Teachers. Faculty were urged to uphold professional integrity and reflect on teaching responsibilities, character, and values in daily practice.

On 22nd April 2025, Lecturer Zhu Di delivered a session titled “Entrepreneurship in the Moment: Writing a New Chapter in Innovation” as part of the Entrepreneurship Management course. The teacher discussed five major waves of entrepreneurship since China’s reform and opening-up and explored state-level policies supporting business innovation.

Lecturer Qian Xuefeng used the bilingual International Trade course to teach fundamental trade theories and policy tools. By connecting theory with China’s ongoing high-level opening-up and the dual circulation strategy, students gained a deeper understanding of global trade dynamics and strengthened their confidence in China’s economic model.

From 26th to 28th May, 2025, Lecturer Wang Zichao taught Red Tourism and Cultural Heritage, exploring the evolution and categories of red tourism and its connection to the Chinese spirit and national confidence.

In the course Marketing of Agricultural Products, Lecturer Liang Zhihui led a session themed “Ecological Civilization and Chinese Modernization,” helping students understand the relationship between sustainability goals and national development strategies.

On 30th May 2025, Lecturer Lu Liang conducted a special session in Employee Welfare Management titled “Chinese Modernization Through My Eyes.” He analyzed how employee welfare policies align with the goal of common prosperity and national strategies such as rural revitalization and healthy aging, encouraging welfare models that go beyond traditional frameworks.

Class advisors of the 2022, 2023, and 2024 cohorts also led themed class meeting, covering topics such as high-quality development, national security, global openness, and ecological modernization, while addressing students’ academic and ideological concerns.

This series of events has significantly enhanced value-based dialogue between faculty and students, deepened student awareness of social responsibility, and integrated ideological education with professional training—further enriching the SBA’s holistic talent development approach.
