On 25th April 2026, the final of the 6th Hubei Provincial College Teachers’ Teaching Innovation Competition successfully concluded at South-Central Minzu University. Two teachers from School of Business Administration (SBA) of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL), namely Liu Fan and Liu Wentong, stood out among numerous participants with solid teaching skills, innovative teaching concepts and well‑refined teaching achievements, winning excellent awards in the provincial competition.

Specifically, the courseGreen Innovation Management led by the team of Teacher Liu Fan won the First Prize at the provincial level in the New Liberal Arts (Senior Professional Title) group. The course Social Entrepreneurship and Good Business Practice taught by the team of Teacher Liu Wentong received the Third Prize at the provincial level in the Artificial Intelligence track.

With the theme of "Promoting Teaching Innovation and Cultivating First-Class Talents" , this competition focused on the digital transformation of education and the construction of “Four New” disciplines. It set up 9 competition tracks and added independent tracks for Artificial Intelligence and Experimental Teaching for the first time. A total of 275 teachers (teams) from 61 colleges and universities across Hubei Province participated in the contest. ZUEL sent 3 teams and won 1 first prize, 1 second prize and 1 third prize respectively.

Since the launch of the university‑level competition in January 2026, the SBA has attached great importance to preparation. It organized expert teams to provide targeted guidance and repeated polishing for participating teachers. The university also set up a tutoring group to offer professional support in teaching concepts, methods, achievement refinement and courseware design.

The two award‑winning teams expressed their gratitude to the university and college for strong support. They noted that the competition deepened their understanding of teaching innovation and strengthened their mission of fostering virtue through education. The SBA will take this achievement as a new starting point, further deepen education and teaching reform, strengthen the teaching staff, and strive to improve teaching quality to support the development of ZUEL.
